Where Technology Decisions Are Business Decisions
Where Technology Decisions Are Business Decisions
Brewer Technology & Finance was founded on a simple observation: most growing businesses make their most consequential technology and financial decisions without anyone in the room who has done it before at scale.
The result is systems built for the business that existed three years ago, vendor contracts nobody read closely enough, and financial reports that tell the accountant what they need but tell the owner nothing useful. By the time the gaps show up, they're expensive.
Brewer Technology & Finance exists to close that gap — before the crisis, not after it.
Pete Brewer brings over a decade of enterprise software and architecture experience to growing DFW businesses, most of it earned at one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world. At AT&T, he provided technical strategy and foresight to executive leadership — navigating systems and cost structures whose roots stretched back decades, and making technology decisions that had to hold up at scale.
He founded Brewer Technology & Finance to bring that same level of guidance to businesses that need it but can't justify a full-time executive hire to get it.
Pete holds a B.S. in Software Engineering from UT Dallas and is completing an MBA with a Finance concentration at UT Arlington. He guest lectures on technology topics at UTD's Naveen Jindal School of Management.
He is based in Garland, Texas, and serves clients across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
The decisions a business makes about technology today will shape what it can and can't do for years — sometimes decades — to come. Most of those decisions get made without foresight, and someone else inherits the consequences.
BTF's approach is built around that reality. Every engagement starts with an honest read of where things actually stand — not where they should be, not what a vendor wants you to believe, but what is true right now and what it will cost you if nothing changes.
That's the work. Everything else follows from it.
